Trusty Premier Senior/Lite is a high quality specially formulated food, designed to meet the needs of those working dogs whose metabolism has changed, either with the normal ageing process, or through a medical intervention.
Recognising this change of nutritional need can be of huge help to dogs in this situation. By restricting both the calorie and protein content of this food, it should, by careful rationing, enable the dog to lead a normal life without becoming obese.
Utilising only G.M. free cereals, the highest quality poultry meat meal, and with no added artificial preservatives, flavours or colours, Senior/Lite is both easily digested, and gentle on those organs that become less efficient with age.
The presence of Inulin helps to ensure a healthy population of helpful gut bacteria to assist in the fermentative process, by which nutrients are freed from the diet. This helps to prevent common digestive disorders such as flatulence or dietary looseness.
